  • Q: What does the Fair offer?
  • A: Resources, hands-on activities, lifestyle information A through Z, for every aspect of active living for older adults and their families, caregivers, and those individuals seeking credible, reliable future lifestyle planning information. In addition - health screenings and tests, safety education, flu shots; all day live entertainment; dancing; art, quilt and photo shows; prizes and awards are part of the celebration at 140 colorful booths and the on the Main Stage.

  • Q: What can I do at the Fair?
  • A: Get a free flu shot; find out about housing; legal issues; volunteering, travel and educational opportunities, research other lifestyle resources; get health and healthcare questions answered; learn to operate your digital camera with a one-on-one with the pros; enjoy the Avenue of The Quilts; take part in ongoing fitness clinics and classes, enjoy a Photography Show by award winning Marin photographers; take in the all day entertainment on the Main Stage and around the Fair. Dance, socialize with old friends and make new friends, interact with therapy critters, win prizes and attend the Awards Ceremonies emceed by popular Bay Area broadcaster, Jan Wahl.   • Q: Is the Fair for seniors only?
  • A: No, not at all. People 55 years of age and older will find the Fair a perfect place to research and explore the opportunities for active living as they think about and begin to make plans for their future life experiences.

  • Q: What is this year’s theme?
  • A: The 2017 theme is "Music! Music! Music!" Enjoy this chapter in your life. Enjoy the Red Queen Stage, explore internet safely, stay in touch with providers, friends and family via email, navigate your Smart phone or tablet, fight fraud, computer viruses, etc. Look for special activity booths. Check out the White Rabbit Room and the Mad Hatter's Tea Party Area. The Fair celebrates expanding your life, keeping in touch and staying involved. We support active living, creative thinking, imaginative solutions, and the power of the senior community to effect changes in their own lives and the lives of others.

  • Q: Can my organization become a Sponsor or Patron?

  • Q: How can my business or organization become an exhibitor?
  • A: Click on the Exhibitors Tab. Below the column at the left, click on Application & Agreement. Print out, fill in, sign, and send with your check to the address on the application.

  • Q: What’s the date, time and location of the 31st annual Marin Senior Information Fair?
  • A: "Music! Music! Music!" Wednesday, October 25, 2017, 9:00AM to 3:00PM, at the Marin Exhibit Hall, 10 Avenue of the Flags, San Rafael, California. ADMISSION IS FREE

  • Q: Is the Fair held indoors or outdoors?
  • A: The Marin Senior Information Fair is held indoors, in a large comfortable venue.

  • Q: How much does it cost to attend?
  • A: Admission is free.

  • Q: Is there parking? Is it free?
  • A: Yes, plenty of free parking is available in and around the Marin Exhibit Hall. In addition, we provide a free, all-day Parking Lot Shuttle to bring visitors to and from their vehicles parked in the Hall lots. Courtesy of Whistlestop.

  • Q: Can I purchase lunch or a snack at the Fair?
  • A: Yes. Healthy and moderately priced lunches, snacks and beverages and seating are available at the Food Court.

  • Q: Can I get a ride to and from the Fair? What does it cost?
  • A: Yes. I you don’t want to drive, Whistlestop provides FREE roundtrip Fair shuttle service from 930 Tamalpais Avenue (downtown) San Rafael, to the Fair and back. Shuttles drop-off and pick-up visitors at the Fair's Main Entrance. The first bus leaves Whistlestop at 9:00 a.m. and the last departs the Fair at 3:15 p.m.  

  • Q: Do you offer Flu shots?
  • A: Yes. In 2017 Sutter Care at Home offers the shots at the Marin Senior Information Fair as part of their Wellness Headquarters. Register at the Fair’s Main entrance area.

  • Q: How many exhibitor booths are at the Fair?
  • A: Approximately 140 colorful and interesting exhibitors are ready to welcome you at the Fair. They offer everything from lifestyle information, to health screenings, from demonstrations to hands on activities.

  • Q: How many people attend the Fair?
  • A: Anywhere from 4500 to 5000 people enjoy the Fair every year.

  • Q: Is the Fair wheelchair accessible?
  • A: Yes.
